Boho Elopement - Banff Elopement Photographer
I have been so excited to share this incredible boho bride inspiration styled shoot. My team and I spend the afternoon getting all organized and ready for this session. We jumped into the car and off we went to chase golden hour in the Canadian Rockies! Below I’m going to share a few tips on how to help create the artsy/boho elopement style..
Are you wanting the boho bridal style for your wedding day but are struggling with where to start with styling and what to look for? Below I will share a few tips to help you get started in the right direction!
1- Textures - Textures are key to giving you a unique, easy, and fun feel to your day.
2- Dress - Flowy, lace, textured, bell sleeves, intricate designs and beading.
You can spice it up even more by adding in some quirky jewellery, a jean jacket , a
cute hat or some delicate hair accessories.
3- Decor - Some of my personal faves that create a boho wedding feel are wicker/rattan baskets, vintage brass candle holders, rugs, patio lights, cozy blankets, and old mismatched ceremony chairs for your guests. You can opt out of the traditional seating and have all of your loved ones stand around you on mismatched vintage rugs/blankets for your ceremony.
4- Boho Florals - If you want that carefree/wild looking bouquet for your Banff Elopement, you will want to stay away from the traditional round/tight bouquet, roses, babys breath, and other common flowers. Instead you want to go for the messy, loose, and larger bouquets. Picking off the beaten path looking flowers that are unique, and full of a variety of textures is key. Your florist should be able to help you pick the best flowers to suit your vision! There are so many endless options and you can pick any color/texture that you want to tie into your dress/decor.
I hope this helped some of you with planning your boho wedding inspiration! As always, feel free to reach out to me if you want any additional tips/trick or if you want to chat about me capturing your dream intimate wedding, Destination Elopement, or your or Banff Elopement.
