Tips for Eloping in Banff
If you are wanting to elope or plan an incredible wedding with your family and friends in the Canadian Rockies, you've come to the right place! Planning any elopement or wedding can feel daunting when you're just travelling here and not living in Banff, but I'm here to make it easy, simple, breathtaking and dream-worthy!
Here are some tips to help you plan your dream Banff elopement and the best photo locations for your wedding day:
Choose a time of year.
Do you want to run around barefoot in the sunshine with your love alongside a fresh glacier lake, or find a secluded spot with incredible mountain views and fresh flowing water to say your vows at sunset overlooking a lake viewpoint? Or do you want a cozy, winter wedding filled with buckets of fresh white snow, a warm fireplace, and an ice-covered lake for your winter elopement ceremony? Maybe you want a crisp fall day standing alongside lake louise for a beautiful fall wedding?
Pick the type of scenery/backdrop you want for your ceremony
Consider the type of elopement you want and then decide on a few locations you like the ideas of. There are plenty of stunning locations in Banff to choose from, including mountainside meadows, forested trails, lakeside mountain views, incredible waterfalls and so much more!
Pick a date
Once you've chosen the time of year, you'll want to get your date nailed down. Make sure to check with me first to assure that I have availability on the day you are hoping for. My BEST TIP for eloping in Banff, Lake Louise, or anywhere in the Canadian Rockies is to plan for a weekday if at all possible. During the weekends, you can expect quite a lot of people at certain popular Banff photo locations.
